TODO Careers replaces the classifieds, the recruiter phone tag, and the fee-taking staffing agency with one direct connection between the person doing the work and the person paying for it. Contractors post real jobs with real budgets. Trade professionals — electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, carpenters, painters, general laborers — build a verified profile once and apply to any job in seconds. There is no middleman, no percentage cut, and no cost to the worker or the employer.

Yes. The app is free to download and free to use on both sides. We do not charge workers to apply and we do not charge employers per posting, per application, or per hire. There are no premium subscriptions inside the app.
How does TODO Careers make money if it's free?+
The platform is built to grow the market first. Revenue will come from optional add-ons like sponsored placements for contractors who want more visibility, and paid tools for large employers hiring at scale. Those add-ons will never gate the core hiring and job-search experience.
Do I need to be a US citizen or a permanent resident?+
No. TODO Careers is a platform where employers post work and professionals apply. Work authorization is a matter between the worker and the employer under local labor law — the app does not filter by immigration status.
Which trades and job types are supported?+
Every construction and skilled-trade category is supported: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, roofing, drywall, painting, masonry, welding, concrete, landscaping, heavy equipment, cleaning, moving, general labor, and site supervision. Office-only roles (accounting, marketing, sales) are outside our scope for now.
Can I use TODO Careers as a homeowner posting a one-off project?+
Yes. Homeowners can post jobs like a bathroom remodel, roof repair, deck build, or emergency plumbing without registering as a business. You just describe the work, add photos, set the budget range, and the app shows the request to nearby qualified pros.
